The Ann Arbor Transit Authority has extended Express Service for another year.
The bus service operates between Canton and Cherry Hill Village and downtown Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan Central Campus, and the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Earlier this year, Canton Township voted to no longer subsidize the service as it only benefitted a small fraction on Canton residents. Amid commuter support, the AATA voted to extend service and increase fares staring in August 2013 and expand marketing efforts to boost the number of riders.
In Cherry Hill Village, the bus stop is located on Ridge Road in front of the Village Theater.
Visit the AATA website for schedule and fare information.

Located at the corner of Ridge Road and Cherry Hill Road, the property is listed on the National Register of Historical Places as a part of the Cherry Hill Historical District established in 2003. The 14 acre property includes a residential dormitory and 50,000 square foot factory that is built over a portion of the Lower Rouge River.
The Partnership seeks to create a new “Art’s District” and is looking for volunteers on June 29th to help clean up the exterior of the property.

Construction has started on the latest development in Cherry Hill Village. The Corners is being developed by Pinnacle Homes and will consist of 97 village lots with homes starting at about $250,000 – $300,000. The Corners includes a large feature park off the primary Denton Road entrance, two smaller common areas, and connections to Cherry Hill Village at Harding and Hancock Streets. In addition, two streets will connect to Cherry Hill Road through the commercial development zone.
The Corners will be a separate home owner association from Cherry Hill Village, but will still follow The Pattern Book. Specific home plans have not been announced yet.
The Corners is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase will consist of the northern lots connecting to Harding Street and the east side streetscape improvements along Denton Road . The balance will be completed the following year.
The original plan, shown below, was developed by the Village Architect and incorporated many of the same ideas. It included multiple common areas and preserved a commercial development zone along Cherry Hill Village. The original plan also included duplex units (shown in orange) and estate lots (shown in pale yellow). These duplex units and estate lots were removed in the final plan to scale back the overall density of the development.
502 Grill will be located adjacent to the Village Theater at Cherry Hill and Ridge Road in the old Cherry Martini location.
American fare served! Specialty Stuffed Burgers and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches. Hours will be 11 am- 11pm Mon-Wed, 11am-2am Thurs-Sat, 11am-10pm Sunday!
Hope to see you all there!

After six years of vacant storefronts, undeveloped land, and little promotion, residents in and around Cherry Hill Village are becoming more vocal about the lack of business in the village.
Residents, business owners, and Canton Township officials recently held a town meeting to discuss Cherry Hill Village. Many topics were discussed, but the main theme of the evening was that “we all need to work together.” Attendees were tasked with forming a steering committee who, along with Canton Township officials, would establish a vision and define tasks for improving Cherry Hill Village.
This site is one step forward in the effort to promote Cherry Hill Village. Right now it’s messy, but will be updated quickly to help residents, business owners and employees, and visitors learn more about Cherry Hill Village.
